Officers were called to George Floyd Square around 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15, in response to a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found Aron Jabari Bell-Bey, 30, wounded in the passenger seat of a parked vehicle on the 4100 block of Chicago Avenue, about four blocks from the scene of the shooting. He was provided aid at the scene and transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening gunshot injuries. Bell-Bey later passed away in late March due to complications from his injuries.
Minneapolis police report that they are currently searching for the individual responsible for shooting Bell-Bey in front of his young children. Investigators believe the incident stemmed from an altercation.
Law enforcement is investigating a hit-and-run that claimed the life of Dr. Cathy Donovan while she was walking her dogs along Highway 169, south of Grand Casino, around 5 p.m. on November 13, 2023.

"Belinda VanLith was last seen housesitting for a neighbor around 8am on June 15th, 1974. She then disappeared from the property located on Little Eagle Lake in Wright County, MN. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance; she has not been seen or heard from since."
