To qualify for a reward from Crime Stoppers of Minnesota

Your information about a suspect, felony crime, or fugitive must be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers of Minnesota through a phone call to our toll-free number, our online web tip form, or by using our mobile P3 TipSubmit App before the suspect has been arrested.

Crime Stoppers of Minnesota offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in a felony case or to the capture of a wanted fugitive by someone who is not involved in the crime associated with the tip. Our reward is not limited to cases highlighted on our website or reported in the media; it applies to any arrest that meets the above criteria.

The actual reward amount is based on factors reported to us by the arresting authority, such as (but not limited to) the usefulness of the tip, the level of the crime, the amount of drugs or stolen property recovered, and the responsiveness of the tipster. These factors are consistently evaluated and applied by the Board of Directors of Crime Stoppers of Minnesota.

Crime Stoppers of Minnesota is not responsible for how our reward offer is re-stated or re-worded by third parties, such as newspapers, law enforcement, or media outlets. The only reward offer we will honor is the one specified on this website.

Notification of a payable reward will be made confidentially by Crime Stoppers to the tipster after we receive information from the arresting authority and the Board of Directors makes its reward determination.

A reward authorized for payment will remain available for collection for 90 calendar days from the date we notify the tipster that payment is available. After this 90-day period, if the reward has not been collected, the offer will expire, and the uncollected funds will be returned to the Crime Stoppers of Minnesota reward fund for future rewards.

Additional reward amounts offered by third parties to increase the reward beyond Crime Stoppers of Minnesota's up to $1,000 offer are only valid when a written agreement is in place between the third party and Crime Stoppers of Minnesota, and the terms of that agreement are met. These additional reward offers will be calculated using the same evaluation criteria unless stated otherwise in the specific reward offer.

Crime Stoppers of Minnesota does not control the additional reward amounts or how long those rewards will be honored. These rewards may have expiration dates and specific rules.

After the 90-day reward collection period expires, no reward will be paid to the tipster.
